Kim Bishop is an accomplished C-suite executive and expert advisor with over 20 years of business leadership experience. Chairman of the Ward Howell USA Advisory Board, Kim collaborates with Ward Howell partners on key talent projects and executive searches across practices.
Kim is the Founder and CEO of Kimberly Bishop Talent Advisory. She has worked with companies ranging from start-ups to large multinational corporations. Kim has deep knowledge of both emerging and seasoned talent and has made a wide range of placements across industries, including board directors at public and private firms and advisory board members. She is known by CEOs and Boards for presenting diverse slates of candidates that match the client’s specifications and corporate culture.
Kim has the advantage of having been on both sides of the recruiting process as a hiring executive and major search firm managing director. Before entering the search industry, Kim was Executive Vice President at First Data Corporation, rising through the ranks from an entry-level call center position to become the youngest person to serve on the company’s Leadership Team overseeing its $2 billion card division and 8,000 employees. Her career transition to search began as Managing Director with Korn/Ferry International followed by Vice Chair of a national executive search firm.
A sought-after speaker, Kim has lectured at Harvard, Columbia and Barnard College and has addressed numerous professional organizations and conferences. She is also a frequent media source, appearing regularly on major television networks and being quoted in top-tier news outlets and publications on leadership, diversity and talent trends. BusinessWeek named Kim one of “The World’s Most Influential Headhunters” and Newsweek appointed her to its Women & Leadership Advisory Board.
Kim is a Board Director of Bellevue University and Shawmut Design and Construction as well as a member of the Board of Advisors of Avrio AI Inc. Kim has received the Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction Award and was a recipient of the New York Women’s Agenda STAR Award for her contributions to women and children. She is also a member of the International Women’s Forum and C200, an invitation-only membership organization including more than 500 of the world’s most successful female corporate executives and entrepreneurs.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communications and a Master of Arts in Leadership, both from Bellevue University.
